It’s the most common way for recovery of DNA and RNA from liquid sample to add ethanol to solution at low temperature, but the recovery yield is low, at least 30% nucleic acid lose. If the nucleic acid concentration of liquid sample is too low or DNA<200bp, ethanol precipitation probably can recover about 50% of DNA and RNA.
Acryl Carrier is a molecular level Acryl polymer solution, which can improve the yield of nucleic acid precipitation, make recovery rate of trace DNA to 95~98%, and also selectively remove short primers(<22bp) fragment and dNTP for precipitation recovering and probe labeling remove the un-labeled dNTP.
Compared with biological derived nucleic acid precipitating aids agent such as glycogen and tRNA, Acryl Carrier not only can not induce nucleic acid contamination but also no DNase and RNase activity.
Meanwhile, it will not affect enzyme digestion, ligation, transcription, PCR, transformation and transfection etc; also not affect nucleic acid electrophoresis and interaction between DNA and protein. Acryl Carrier becomes the most common use of nucleic acid precipitating aid agent.
